it's been 10 days since I last wrote. Mainly because I've been so busy. It was the
thanksgiving holiday in the US. It's considered the most important holiday for people
here, and families get together and eat eat eat. The kids were off school since Thurday
and we had a great time together for 4 full days. Timothy had a thanksgiving party
at their school last Wednesday.. and of course he didn't cooperate. He stood there
and just hang around while other kids sang the songs and did hand motions. I am used
to it so I only found it funny. Last week both boys went in for dental cleaning.
Timothy did VERY well. I was really surprised. Last time it was very bad, he cried,
kicked, hit, and screamed the whole way... so I really didn't get my hopes up this
time before we went... I even thought about cancelling the appointment.

But we prepared him a little, by borrowing the books from the library about a child
going to see the dentist. He even cried when I read the story to him :0)

Well, in short, he did very very well. He cried for about 1 minute, then becuase I
held him really tightly, that probably made him feel safe. He stopped crying and
Dr. Mai was able to clean his teeth. We even got him to take some x-rays of his
front teeth. They tried his back teeth but becuase it made him gag so maybe next
time. I totally agree with Timothy though because I myself really don't like having
my teeth take X-rays... so uncomfortable.

As for Jacob, he was as good as usual. I was very proud of him. His lower front teeth
already have new(permenant) teeth come out, while his baby teeth are standing firm.
We were all mentally prepared to have the tooth pulled but Dr. Mai decided it's
becoming loose so we can just wait and maybe move it to help it fall out. Jacob has
2 teeth with cavity sign so we are going in again next month to fix them.

Then came the thanksgiving holidays... Tabo came to stay with us the whole weekend,
we took her shopping... I of course cooked a turkey for our big feast. I didn't even
have a bite though... I was full simply by looking at the whole table of foods!
So I drank a few bowls of soup and that was about it.. We went to brother 閻's house
and there were a lot of people.. about 30+. We had a good time eating, singing and
fellowshiping.

Then came Friday night when me, Tabo took the boys to Michelle's birthday party
at Chuckie Cheeses. It was about 10 kids, and becuase we've gone there several
times, the boys were not very excited. But they still had a good time playing
the games. I was glad Tabo went with me, she surely helped me a lot watching the
boys.

Then on Saturday we went shopping some more... we were mainly looking for our ski
clothes.. We are going on a ski(play with snow) trip to New Mexico(Santa Fe) next
month with the Lo's family. It should be a lot of fun. We will be staying with the
saints for the 1st and 3rd night and stay in a hotel the 2nd night near the
ski area. We already booked for the hotel last night.. hopefully it will be good.
So that was our thanksgiving holidays... safe and happy. Philip had to study for
his 2 exams(one last night and one on Thursday night), so he took the vacation days
and studied these past 2 days. I wish he could spend the vacation time playing with
us.. but he is using it for study, which is good becuase Nokia is paying for this
degree... why not!!

So that's why I didn't get a chance to post a blog.. way too busy. The christmas
lights are lit up here, and many houses have decorations. it's starting to smell
a lot like Christmas. We've explained to the boys why we don't celebrate Christmas,
but really I don't think it's a big deal. We only spend the time together as a
family gathering and not to celebrate any religious meanings.

Writing in English is SOOOOO much easier and faster. I like it!!
