Yesterday was the 1st day of school.
After the long summer, no one was ready for school(especially mommy!!)

This year we are having a new routine, the boys are taking the school bus to school.
It's because we think they are old enough and although they would have to get up 30 minutes earlier,
once it becomes a habit it should be ok.

This week daddy is going on business trip so it's easier for mommy just to drop off the boys at the Big Spring elementary for the boys to take the red circle bus.

I was pretty nervous a few days before school started.. wondering how in the world we could adjust to the new schedule.. the boys have been going to bed late for the summer.. and now having to get up at 6:30.. they would have to go to bed at 8pm.

We also have a new family routine, to read the bible together EVERYDAY after dinner for about 15-20 minutes.
We decided it's the way to follow the Lord, and to have the word of God constituted in us. We have been practicing this for 1 week.. and although we are still getting used to it, I really treasure this time to drink of the spirit.

Yesterday I woke up super early.. and the boys were very cooperative.. I drove them to Big Spring.. and very confusingly, three bus came.
And none of them had the sign of red circle.
Finally I went up to ask the driver, and he said, "yeah, I am going to MST, but what's red circle? "
My goodness! He doesn't even know this bus route is red circle.. he is a new driver obviously!!
The boys were the only passengers in this 1st stop.. I felt kind of bad.. thinking we should have taken them to school on the 1st day!

So I called the school later.. just to make sure the bus indeed took the boys to school.. and it did!!

The day without the 2 big brothers was pretty long and boring for both me and Acacia.
We went to return the battery at Fry's .. then I took her to Joann's fabric store.. bought some fabrics..
and I decided to take Acacia to McDonald's... so she could play for a while..

In McDonald, Acacia met this cute 5 year old blond hair boy named Ryan. They had a great time playing together.. for about 20 minutes!! They played hide-and-seek.. and without her brothers' help, Acacia was scared to go on the slide...
I know Acacia is probably ready for school too.. but we decided we would wait another year, so mommy can enjoy her longer!

Came home after lunch, Acacia took and nap.. and it was time to pick up the boys.

When they walked off  the bus, both looked very tired. Timothy had taken a nap on the bus.. and barely awoke to get off the bus.
I knew they would be tired.. because of all the excitement for the 1st day of school as well as getting up so early in the morning.

Timothy was in a bad mood after school.. he annoyed his brother and sister continually throughout the whole afternoon and evening. I know this was just his way to let out the stress but at the end I got mad and had to spank him(a little) ..

As usual, Timothy proclaimed, "I HATE school!!!"
Oh Lord Jesus, help Timothy to enjoy school more this year.. and Timothy is having the same 2nd grade teacher, Ms. DeVaney as Jacob. I really like Ms. DeVaney. She is a good teacher, spending a lot of energy with her students.
Hopefully this will be a happy year for both boys!
Jacob has Mrs. Starnes, whom is a new teacher to MST! She looks very young and I like young teachers. They always have more energy with the kids.

so.. this is our 1st day of school.. kind of stressing.. but.. it will be alright~

In the evening, Acaica and I made Banana bread.. we added blueberries .. it is so yummy!!

I think I will pick up my baking career again
